Pre- K

Brady had his first day of Merryhill Pre -Kindergarten, it was a success! I was very worried we would have the crying fits about not wanting to go to school, but I was wrong. Brian dropped Brady off without one tear (from either party). When I picked him up he was very happy and excited to be in the Pre - K class like the big kids! Way to go Brady. We will see how Carson does in a few weeks I am a little more nervous about that!

weekend in Santa Rosa

We spent the last weekend in Santa Rosa visiting with family. Brian and I were so lucky to get to babysit all four kids on Sunday while the other adults went to the NASCAR race! The kids were all really good and we even had 3 of the 4 asleep at one time!!!!Brady and Charlotte get along really well and as long as you can hear them they are okay. Charlotte mastered the two wheel bike, we were really proud of her. Brady was a really big helper and could get the babies to smile in no time flat. Carson and Vanessa the two non eater babies are another story. They require a lot of attention at every minute! Vanessa is so sweet and little she walks all around and says the cutest things like mommy, daddy, me=milk, and nonee=blanket, and she also says NO (mostly to food she doesn't want to eat). Carson was his usual lovable self and did have to be carried or walked around most of the time. Great Grandma Reva even stopped by to make real homemade Mac and cheese! Maybe we will rethink that 3 child!

Monkey See...Monkey Do... Monkey Get in Trouble Too

So the shirt actually says " monkey see, monkey do, monkey get in trouble too! " I had bought this shirt for Brady last summer and he really loves it. My great friend Alex handed down some clothes from her son and we happened upon the same shirt, in Carson's size! In fact she gave us 2 of the same shirt same size, ha, ha, ha!!! Yesterday the boys and I were having fun around the house and here is some of the trouble we got into. I know Carson doesn't look like he is getting into trouble but he just loves to sit in Brady's chair. It kinda makes Brady mad. Every time we enter Brady's room Carson makes a bee line to the chair sits down and give the biggest smile ever.

"Hi"

Carson first words! I looked back at Brady's baby book to see when he said his first words and the sad part is I never wrote it down. I think I was always unsure if it really was the first words or just cute noises that sounded a lot like words. So I decided to record Carson's cute noises as his first words. I will have to try and catch it on video so you can see him in action. He puts his hand up waves and says"HI". He also makes a double syllable while waving that sounds a lot like "bye, bye". Ma-ma and Da-da are of course on the list as well as what sounds like "car" and "kitty"while pointing to the object!

Happy Birthday Carson

I can't believe Carson is one! What a little sweetie! Carson enjoyed his birthday party. He was able to celebrate with a lot of his friends and family. Carson also really enjoyed his cake! Yummy frosting. Thanks to all who were able to come and celebrate this big day, and for all those who wished him well.

Superman

Wow he really is strong! So now we officially have one Spiderman and his fellow super hero Superman. He can move cars with a single push!

Omi and Grandpa are home!

Omi and Grandpa came home from their wonderful vacation to Europe. They stopped by today to wish Carson a Happy Birthday! We are glad to have you home!

Grammie and Darling come to visit !

My mom and Cheryl came to visit for Carson's Birthday! We had a great time. It was so fun to have them in town to play with the boys and help get ready for the party! We all spent a great deal of time playing out in the sun! What fun, wish we all lived closer.

Slip and Slide

"You put it on the lawn... and turn the water on... Sliiiip... slip and slide." That was the commercial song for Slip and Slid when I was growing up. Brady just loves the water, he spent the better part of Sunday asking to do slip and slide and doing slip and slide.

Carson cuteness

Just a little Carson cuteness to make you smile. Lately when I try to take his picture he tries to get the camera, he's fast too.

swim lessons come to an end

Well swim lessons are over. We both lived through the experience and I do think we are stronger for it. I am not sure Brady learned to swim, but I don't know that that was the expected outcome. He had a great time and we even made some new friends. On his swim card the instructor did recommend private lessons, "because Brady needs a lot of individual attention". That's what I was saying all along. We are signed up for another group lesson in a few weeks, I am sure we will mature into a good listener by then. Right?!
